Yakkety-yak
Either I had *so* much fun having food poisoning last year that I've decided to get it again (my theory) or I'm working too hard (Mom's theory), in any case it's much more pleasant to have a nice bathroom to be ill in rather than the hovel that made a seedy nightclub bathroom look upscale. Today I'm moving the small stuff back in that I'd wanted to start moving back in two days ago. I hate losing two days; I need a clone the way it is. One of the things I re-discovered was a tin shaker of Millefleurs powder, but sadly it seems Crabtree & Evelyn no longer make anything with this fragrance.

They are having a sale, but even though I'm no math wizard, I think I'll pass. 3 x $12 in this universe is still $36, right?

Good news naturewise: there may be a return of rabbits! I saw a baby rabbit in the yard the last few days. Hopefully s/he has siblings and friends to invite over for our clover and dandelion buffet.

3 X $12 = $36.00 in the math I learned, too.

Hope you're feeling better soon. :)

Thanks :-)

I delved further into the site and found products ranging from $4 to $28 all eligible for the 3 for $40 sale. I wonder what clever marketing/sales person came up with that?

Christ Almighty, woman! Are you ok? Big hugs your way and I hope you feel better soon. Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender powder? Just talking of it makes me melt into a happy pile of goo.

Rabbits are a good thing. Baby rabbits are so damn cute. My friend Gary, used to have a love affair with rabbits. This section totally makes me think of him. And his antique shop was Dandelion Antiques.

*sniff* Thanks hon, for reminding me of good things.

Thanks :-) I'm feeling fairly normal today, er wait... feeling "better". I don't think I ever qualify for normal, LOL!

I love some of the C&E stuff (lavender, lily of the valley and the dearly departed millefleurs) and we used to have a store here. I don't know why they closed. :(

Your friend sounds like a wonderful person - anyone loving the bunnies has got to be good. I hope another Glenn Close doesn't move in next door!

Normal is not in our vocabulary, round these parts! I'm glad you're better. I really am.

You would've loved Gary. He was tall and large and a big 'ol queen. He was one of the most amazing men I've ever known. I still struggle with his death. (AIDS related) His house was amazing. It was filled with antiques and bunny/rabbit stuff. I have a stuffed rabbit doll that I gave him. (When he died, it came back to me.) Her name is Molly. I'll take a pic of her and post it, soon. I wish I could show you all the rabbit/bunny stuff, but it wouldn't even do his house any sort of justice. It was just amazing. He called it 'Leroy Manor.'

If Glenn Close moved in, next door, he would've just waited for her behind one of the bushes and got bunny revenge. LOL

We still have our C&E store, but they're revamping our mall, so it's more than likely a matter time before they get the boot. Tradition just isn't fashionable in these parts. But the alternative is crap. We don't need another Nordstrom's or Saks. I am a big fan of the lavender. Lily of the Valley is nice, too. I don't remember millefleurs.

What did it smell like?

Millefleurs was a blend of several florals and slightly powder-y. I suspect that may be a generic term since when I Googled it I found reference to Marie Antionette using it, and I'm pretty sure she pre-dated Crabtree & Evelyn by quite a few years. :-D

I wish Gary had lived next door to me - it sounds like we'd have gotten along very well. We used to have entire rabbit families and it was a blast to watch them chase each other in circles. I'd love to have had him here to deal with the rabbit-haters - just the fact that he was large and queen-y would've sent at least one of them right over the edge, LOL!
